Baked Halibut

From the kitchen of Dale Deibler

Ingredients:

2 lb Halibut Fillets (skinned), Cut into 4 Chunks

1/3 cup Garlic Bread Crumbs

1 cup Sour Cream

1 cup Mayonnaise

1/3 cup Lemon Juice

2 lg Sweet Onion, Chopped

2 tbsp Butter

Salt & Pepper

 

 

Procedure:

Sautee onions in butter until tender. Cover bottom of large baking dish with onions and butter. Cut fish fillets into servable portions and lay on top of onions. Salt & Pepper fish pieces to taste and sprinkle with lemon juice. Then mix mayonnaise and sour cream together and layer top of fish like a cake frosting with mayonnaise/sour cream mixture. Top with bread crumbs and bake at 375º for 20 minutes. Halibut should be flaky when ready.
